Extracurricular Activities

Gethsemane Lutheran School currently offers the following extracurricular activities:

Athletics

Athletics play a major role in our extra-curricular activities. We have sports programs after school for grades 5-8. We compete with other Lutheran schools and also participate in the Catholic Athletic Association in basketball.  Directions to other schools

Music

The following children's choirs are available:

• Lambs Choir is a vocal choir for children in kindergarten, first, and second grade.
• Junior Choir is a vocal choir for students in grades three through six.
• The Children's Bell Choir is a choir for youth bell ringers from fourth grade and above.

These extra-curricular music activities are in addition to band and music programs offered during school hours.

Intramural Sports

Short intramural seasons are offered for third and fourth graders, depending on student interest and parent coaches.  Intramural seasons may include soccer, volleyball and basketball. These coed seasons are focused on skill development and participation and typically meet twice a week for four to six weeks
