If you have chosen to pay your tuition in monthly installments, are you aware that you can save time and postage by making your monthly payments automatically through an ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfer? Doing so will also eliminate the possibility of accruing any $25 late payment fees. Note that tuition payments are due on the first of each month, but we do allow a 10-day grace period before assessing the $25 late fee.
Here’s How it Works
You fill out a form authorizing your regularly scheduled tuition payment to be deducted from the account of your choice. Then, just sit back and relax. Your payments will be made automatically on the specified day—on the 10th if you sign up through Thrivent; OR, if you sign up directly through our bank, you may choose to have the payment made on either the 10th or the 20th! (Payments will be deducted the following business day if the 10th or 20th fall on a weekend or holiday.) Proof of payment will appear on your bank statement as well as on the monthly statement of account from the school (unless you chose not to receive tuition statements). The authority you give to charge tuition to your account will remain in effect until the end of the current school year or until you notify us in writing to terminate the authorization. It is a dependable, flexible, convenient and easy way to make your monthly tuition payment.
Select One of Two Programs
Each of the two programs listed below allows you to make monthly tuition payments directly from either your checking or savings account. Select the program you prefer, get your form from the links below or from the school or church office, and return your completed form to the school office along with a voided check or savings account deposit slip.
- You can use the Thrivent’s Simply Giving® program, which provides the option of making payments to Gethsemane and to other Lutheran congregations and educational institutions. Information about the program, including the Member Enrollment and Authorization Form, is available online.
- You can authorize Gethsemane's bank to transfer funds from your account through our Direct Payment Plan. The form you need is available here.
Other Details
Remember that even if you have made your payments automatically in the past, you still need to complete a new authorization form each year.
If you supplement your tuition payments by working a concession booth at the Xcel Energy™ Center or at the Metrodome, we can help you monitor your earnings so that automatic payments are canceled when your account has accumulated a sufficient credit.
