Accelerated Reader
Gethsemane uses the computer-based Accelerated Reader™ program to encourage reading outside of normal class assignments, and to improve reading skills. Grades 1-6 participate in this program, earning points for books they read. Students take a comprehension test on a computer in the classroom, computer lab, or library after reading each book. Gethsemane has tests available for more than 4,300 books. Accelerated Reader activities are also encouraged during summer months.
