LAUNCHING LASTING LEADERSHIP
Moving People into God’s Agenda
In this workshop, we will use this Five-Step Process--Decode, Desire, Discover, Develop, Deploy--on these five concepts:
Crystalizing a Christ–Centeredness
One of the identifying marks of Christ’s life is his complete surrender the will of his Father. True followers of Christ desiring to please the Father must commit to following in the steps their Savior and Lord. Our agenda is not ours but his; our goal is not ours but his. His mission not ours but the expansion of his Kingdom.
Cultivating Consistent Character
The gold standard in which we operate among those identified as believers at a minimum should encompass honesty and integrity. One’s ability to lead is built on the words and actions that are unswerving whether done in private conversation or in a public area. Distortions, omissions, and lapses of memory are not characteristics of one who takes up their cross daily.
Clarifying Compelling Competence
Individual skill set and proven track record are common prerequisites in employment in the business world. However, experiences and human resources are by nature limited. The guiding principles of a new environment are always changing. The personal sacrifice for a career is never enough for the loss of family. Divine power, infinite wisdom, and supernatural strength are readily available to any and all who submit to God’s will and ways.
Choosing Contagious Chemistry
Relational acumen is one of the key components of the toolbox of any enduring Christian leader. Crucial principles will be presented that will assist in facilitating authentic and warm connection with those with whom we engage. Stephen R. Covey, the author of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People once stated: “Treat a man as he is and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he can and should be and he will become as he can and should be.”
The landscape of our current community is a mosaic reflecting the glory of God in creation. Worldviews, cultures, languages, generations are but a few of the contours which now make up our neighborhoods. In class, we will provide new lenses through which to see and engage in a meaningful way those far from the kingdom of God.
